What a peculiar state to think that we are in a search for enlightenment yet we are capable of making atrocious things; those things that can make one satiated, not knowing we are being blinded by our misplaced emotions and muddled thinking.
I made mistakes and experienced tons of mishaps. I have been in a lot of doubting situations. I might look strong on the outside yet deeply vulnerable on the inside. Aren't we all have that in common? Although, let's just say, despite it all, I survived. We survived.
And just one day I realized and told myself this...
"What is coming is better than what is gone."
When we are under unexpected circumstances, we cannot undo what has been done. Regrets result from the actions we are not sure of at the first place. Why do we worry ourselves to situations we cannot change? Why do we sometimes insist to resist the consequences? Maybe because we expect too much — too much that we almost outdo things that are beyond our limitations. Or maybe we just want to handle these uncontrollable things. See the irony. We become stupid, pathetic, and worst, envious. But how do we explain the reason if it's inevitable and inexplicable?
Paradoxical effect. Yes, these realizations hit us not when we are depressed, but when we feel rejected.We may feel rejection from the people around us — the society in general. Some of us are coward to stand back again and face the mistakes we have committed. Nevertheless, when we come to think of our past, the miseries did not just cause us pain. These left us braver and helped us build our own battleship for the subsequent struggles. Eventually, time will help us alleviate the pain. We should never underestimate ourselves. All we need is to move on, hope, and sprinkle positivity on every waking day.
Rejection is the way of God to lead us to life's redirections. It is true that breakdown create breakthroughs. To live boldly is to accept the trials of life. What better way to endure arduous problems is to embrace the consequential challenges. Lost opportunities, and lost possibilities have left us broken but that also meant we tried. It's all part of being human.
So to myself, and to you. Yes, you! Life will always be unfair and it will stay that way. Of course, it's hard. It's supposed to be hard. If it was easy, everyone would not put that extra effort. Hard is what makes it great.
**El Paso Adelante means The Step Forward. This entry is titled in Spanish, the Romance language, because hope rises when humans work their way to discover their passion. Pain begets a fighter. A fighter begets success. Success begets further success.
